Description
An old Quebec European plum cultivar developed in Montreal and recognized in the early 20th century. ‘Mont-Royal’ is renowned for its excellent winter hardiness, productivity, and adaptation to Quebec growing conditions. It produces dark blue to blue-purple plums with firm, juicy, very sweet yellow flesh. The fruit is well suited to fresh eating, canning, cooking, and drying.
