Description
'Liberty' is an American apple cultivar developed at Cornell University's Geneva Experiment Station in New York. Its breeding involved 'Macoun', 'Malus floribunda 821' and 'Golden Delicious'. It is particularly well known for its high resistance to apple scab and good resistance to several other important apple diseases. It produces red, crisp, juicy and mildly tart apples, generally harvested in late September or early October.

White to pinkish-white apple blossoms produced in spring. Flowering is generally mid-season. Blooming time : from may to beginning of june
Fruits
Medium-sized apples with an attractive red to dark-red skin, often with lighter striping. Flesh is creamy white, crisp, juicy and mildly tart, with a pleasant aromatic flavour. Good for fresh eating, cooking, juice and storage.
