Grafting course

2023 EDITION, Saturday June 3 - training will take place in french, but we speak english
You are invited to learn the art of fruit tree grafting with our team.

We will learn how to graft the main fruit trees of northern climate, namely apple, pear, plum and cherry. On the menu, a full day of training in two blocks. The first block informs you about the grafting theory, for example:

• how to retrieve and store scion wood;
• which rootstocks to use according to the species and the characteristics (height) desired;
• the advantages and disadvantages of the different techniques;
• when is the best time to graft according to the technique;
• what material to use.

In the second block, we will put into practice the different spring grafting techniques (English grafting, complicated English grafting, cleft grafting, dormant eye budding and crown grafting). We provide the scions and rootstocks for training. If you want more scions and rootstock to graft at home afterwards, it will be possible to buy some on site (you can also make a reservation online in our catalogue.)
